Music was swirling in the late 20th century with genres fracturing every day. Artists were defining their independence. York was positioned nicely between four distinct culture centers for music in Baltimore, Washington DC, Philadelphia and New York.  Our location provided access to many touring acts who provided inspiration to rock. The band Live broke big to further inspire many more York rockers.  Every show we attended fueled the desire to create our own brand of music.  York College of Pennsylvania helped shape the York music scene, particularly punk and indie vibes at The Brooklyn Alley Depot. The Chameleon Club in Lancaster brought York even closer to the flame. The Dumbug debut is a special product of these special times. Enjoy.
