Hard to believe we are not allowed to travel or assemble without explicit permission or purpose. The afforded permission or purpose must be deemed essential to sustain life. The risk is attributed to a deadly virus quickly spreading around our world. Healthcare professionals are scrambling for supplies and ideas on how to survive this menacing, deadly disease. I am terrified just hearing about it. The scariest aspect is the dramatic difference of opinion regarding how to cure this disease, much less manage a virus in general. Maintaining a strong personal constitution is key.
Lockdown Session 1
Here is a story about the three chaps from the band MeanMan of York who will not be denied their freedom to rock. This project is driven by the desire to find a way to do what makes you happy. Here is the first installment of a cover song about an otherwise law-abiding citizen driving during a lockdown with no intention of going to the grocery. He is Breaking The Law.
Yo Truk, this lockdown is too much
me and Produce are coming over to jam
Breaking the Law
There I was completely wasting, out of work and down
All inside it's so frustrating as I drift from town to town
Feel as though nobody cares if I live or die
So I might as well begin to put some action in my life
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
So much for the golden future I can't even start
I've had every promise broken, there's anger in my heart
You don't know what it's like, you don't have a clue
If you did you'd find yourselves doing the same thing too
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
You don't know what it's like
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law

Our work is usually conducted in the same room, but with the lockdown we have been deprived this luxury. However, we are playing the hand we have been dealt. Each member is leveraging our personal studio to record our tracks remotely and pass them on to yield these finished recordings of Songs For Lockdown. I hope you enjoy them.
Stay well
Tom
